Formatting Guidelines

The following formatting specifications apply to all manuscripts submitted to TJMPS. Adherence to these guidelines ensures efficient processing and a consistent reading experience.

Document Layout

Page Size

A4 (210 × 297 mm)

Margins

2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides

Font

Times New Roman, 12 pt throughout (including references)

Line Spacing

Double-spaced throughout (including abstract, body text, references, and appendices)

Paragraph Indent

First line indented 1.27 cm (0.5 inches); no extra space between paragraphs

Alignment

Left-aligned (ragged right); do not justify

Page Numbers

Top right corner, beginning from the title page

Tables

Tables must be created using your word processor’s table function (not inserted as images). Number tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.) with a brief descriptive title in italics above each table. Place explanatory notes below the table. Use horizontal lines to separate the header row from the body and to close the table; avoid vertical lines and shading within the table body.

Figures

Figures must be submitted as high-resolution files (minimum 300 dpi) in TIFF, PNG, or JPEG format. Number figures consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.) with a brief descriptive title in italics below each figure. Ensure that all text within figures is legible at the final reproduction size and that colour figures remain interpretable when converted to greyscale.

Reference Format

All references must follow APA 7th Edition format. Examples:
