Refund Policy
TJMPS is committed to transparent and fair financial practices. This policy outlines the circumstances under which article processing charges (APCs) may be refunded.
Article Processing Charge
TJMPS charges a one-time article processing charge (APC) upon acceptance of a manuscript. The APC covers editorial handling, peer review coordination, copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, and permanent open-access hosting. There is no charge for submitting a manuscript or for the peer review process. The APC becomes payable only after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
Refund Eligibility
|
Full Refund A full refund of the APC will be issued if: (a) the payment was made in error (e.g., duplicate payment or incorrect amount), (b) the journal withdraws acceptance due to an editorial or administrative error on the part of TJMPS, or (c) the author requests withdrawal before the manuscript enters the production stage (copyediting and typesetting). |
|
Partial Refund A partial refund (50%) may be considered if the author requests withdrawal after the manuscript has entered production but before final publication. Partial refunds account for editorial and typesetting work already completed. |
|
No Refund No refund will be issued after the article has been published online. APCs are also non-refundable if a manuscript is retracted due to ethical violations (plagiarism, data fabrication, undisclosed conflicts of interest) attributable to the author(s). |
How to Request a Refund
Refund requests should be submitted in writing to editor@tjmps.com with the subject line “Refund Request — [Manuscript ID]”. Please include the manuscript reference number, payment receipt, and reason for the request. Refund requests are reviewed within 10 working days, and approved refunds are processed within 15 working days via the original payment method.
Fee Waivers
TJMPS recognises that financial constraints should not be a barrier to publication. Authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries (as classified by the World Bank) or those who can demonstrate genuine financial hardship may apply for a full or partial fee waiver at the time of submission. Waiver requests are assessed confidentially and do not influence editorial decisions.
