About the Journal
The Journal of Mind & Psychological Science (TJMPS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing rigorous and original scholarship that advances understanding of the human mind, behaviour, and psychological experience. Founded on the conviction that psychology must evolve through dialogue between empirical precision and conceptual depth, TJMPS provides a scholarly platform where traditional disciplinary boundaries are treated as starting points rather than endpoints.
TJMPS welcomes research that spans the full continuum of psychological inquiry, from controlled laboratory experiments and large-scale quantitative studies to qualitative investigations, theoretical contributions, and integrative reviews. The journal is particularly interested in work that bridges levels of analysis, connecting neural mechanisms to lived experience, individual processes to sociocultural contexts, and clinical phenomena to broader frameworks of human flourishing.
What distinguishes TJMPS is its explicit commitment to interdisciplinary convergence and its responsiveness to the forces reshaping contemporary psychological science. As artificial intelligence transforms clinical practice, assessment, and research methodology, and as digital mental health interventions redefine how care is delivered globally, the journal recognises that psychology must engage critically and constructively with these developments. TJMPS actively encourages submissions that examine the psychological dimensions of human-AI interaction, the efficacy and ethics of AI-augmented therapeutics, the implications of machine learning for psychometric practice, and the broader societal impacts of algorithmic decision-making on mental health and well-being.
Equally, TJMPS values work that draws on neuroscience, philosophy of mind, cultural studies, contemplative traditions, education, and public health, provided it maintains methodological rigour and advances psychological understanding. Submissions from emerging scholars and researchers from the Global South are especially welcomed.
The journal operates on a double-blind peer review model and adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All accepted articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, ensuring immediate and unrestricted access to the global research community.
